General Information 

LY® S 660 is a styrene-acrylate copolymer dispersion with low viscosity. It shows high stability towards chemical and mechanical influences and a low tendency to foam.

The common adding point is within surface sizing system, the inlet of starch transfer pump or size service tank is the best option for addition.

Application 

The typical dosage of LY® S 660 is  2-5% (active/dry starch), which is roughly equal to 0.5 – 1.7 kg/paper ton. The product is a dispersion polymer and it is not sensitive to pH variations. Anti- foaming agent is not usually needed. The product is cationic – it retains easily and remains on a surface of the paper/board, especially in applications where the surface size used is an oxidised or entzymaticly converted starch. However, the care must be taken in the applications, in which high amounts of optical agents are used in a surface size. The product is not, due to the cationic charge, compatible with anionic optical brighteners.

For each different machine, need optimize the amount of the surface sizing agent to get the best sizing results. Lanya's technical services team can help you achieve this goal.

LY® S 660 is delivered in 1000Kg IBC containers or by tank lorry.

Package specification may vary with different supplying bases. Please consult with our company local representative for product package type.

Storage

The maximum storage time of the product is 6 months. Below 30°C, but care must be taken to ensure that it does not freeze. The instructions for disposing of unused product are given in the safety information sheet.
